稲尾岳（いなおだけ） 2012.1.9 [山]
1. 自然石展望台から稲尾岳を眺める。空気の澄んだ日には種子島もみえるという。
２日目の夜は、「道の駅 根占（ねじめ）」にて車中泊する Zzz
暖かい夜だったので、寝袋の中で暑苦しさで目が覚めた。外に出て見ると、錦江湾に沈もうとする月が明々と照らしていた。さっさと朝食を済まして、登山口を目指して出発した。
稲尾岳ビジターセンターの周辺は霧に包まれていた。まだ開館時間前であったが、ビジターセンターの管理人の方が作業しておられた。そこで、アドバイスと登山パンフレットをいただいた。車をそこに置いて、登山口まで歩いた。
2. 登山道西口
霧の中、林道を少し歩くと、東屋のある登山口（西口）に辿り着く。
3. 稲尾岳と滝めぐりの分岐
登山口から数メートル入ったところ、ヒメシャラの倒木の先に、稲尾岳の山頂と、滝巡りコースの分岐があった。先ほどのアドバイスに従い、滝めぐりコース（左側）の道を進んだ。
4. 白肌の滝
このコースには、名前を付けられた滝が３つある。
5. 照葉樹の滝
３つめに出会った、「照葉樹の滝」は、小さな滝が幾つもつらなっており見応えがあった。冬場でなければ、苔が青々として、美しいに違いない。
6. 照葉樹の森
一旦、林道に下り、そこから登山道の北口まであるく。再び、登山口から山頂を目指して登り直す。

7. 稲尾岳の山頂
とりあえず、山頂に到着した。神社周辺は照葉樹に囲まれ展望はない。風も強いので、直ぐに戻ることにした。帰りの道は傾斜も緩く楽なのだが、登山道の両側には灌木がビッシリと生えており、展望は全く無い。枯木岳を過ぎたところに、展望台があるだけ。
8. 西口コースの清流
暫く下っていくと源流があり、水が流れる沢の中を歩いていく。なかなか変化に富んでおり、意外にも楽しめた。
9. 稲尾岳ビジターセンター
下山後は車を置いてあるビジターセンターに戻った。ここでインスタントコーヒーをいただき、帰路についた。
